We have come across a number of sick computers recently where the Certificate of Authenticity sticker does not match the installed Operating System.  This causes problems if we have to re-install the software, which is often the case if Malware has wrought  havoc or the hard drive needs replacing.  Sometimes the C.O.A has been worn away so the licence key cannot be read.  This seems to especially happen with Netbooks.  In future we will only accept computers for repair if the C.O.A. sticker matches the installed system and can be clearly seen.
